Terms of Service

Xuan Ji Tang is an online I Ching reading service. After you enter a question and cast a hexagram, we generate an interpretation from the hexagram and its classical commentary with the help of AI. All interpretations, including hexagram texts, line texts, and any suggestions, are provided as cultural reference only. They do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. For important decisions, please consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.

When a top-up is completed, the amount is credited to your account as readings. Each interpretation (including a follow-up question) uses one reading, and readings do not expire. Readings granted at sign-up or as a top-up bonus are gifts: they cannot be cashed out or refunded.

1. Time limit: A refund request must be submitted within 14 days of the top-up in question. Requests made after this period will not be accepted. 2. How to apply: Email support@ichingquest.com from the email address you sign in with, stating the time of the top-up. We reply within 3 business days. 3. Refund amount: Refunds are calculated in proportion to actual use, as amount paid × unused readings ÷ paid readings. Bonus readings are excluded from the calculation. Once the refund is completed, all readings remaining from that top-up (bonus included) are cleared. 4. Non-refundable items: readings already used (an interpretation is considered delivered once it has been generated); readings granted at sign-up or through promotions; and top-ups made more than 14 days ago. 5. Multiple top-ups: Only the most recent top-up is eligible for a refund. Readings used after that top-up are counted against it. 6. Frequency: Each account may submit one refund request within any 30-day period. A refund indicates that the service did not meet your needs; please do not top up again after a refund is completed. Any further top-up within the same 30-day period is not eligible for a refund. 7. Refund method: Refunds are returned to the original payment method. We cover the processing fee. Funds usually arrive within 5–10 business days. 8. Interpretations declined under our rules are not charged and therefore involve no refund. Worked example: You paid $39.99 for 200 readings (plus 50 bonus readings) and have used 60. Refund = 140 ÷ 200 × $39.99 = $27.99. Bespoke reports (mingshu) are subject to separate terms: 90% is refundable before delivery; after delivery, no refund is available, as the content is written specifically for you.

You are responsible for the questions you ask and for any judgments or decisions you make based on an interpretation. Interpretations are provided for reference only. Any action you take on the basis of an interpretation, and its consequences, are your own responsibility; Xuan Ji Tang accepts no liability for them.

The following questions fall outside the scope of the service: (a) specific determinations about another person's privacy, life or death, or illness; (b) matters involving crime, gambling, or fraud; and (c) repeated casting on the same question for the purpose of testing. Questions the system determines to be out of scope do not produce an interpretation and are not charged.

The interpretation texts, page layouts, and visual elements of this service are the property of Xuan Ji Tang. You may save screenshots of your own readings or share them with family and friends, but you may not use the content of this service as a whole for commercial purposes.
